Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
Instructor-Led
This American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course equips participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to respond to breathing emergencies, cardiac arrest, choking, and common first aid situations.
Participants learn high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, proper AED use, and how to recognize and respond to injuries such as bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, and sudden illness.
Training includes practical skill scenarios using professional equipment to ensure confidence and competence.
Upon successful completion, students receive a 2-year American Red Cross digital certification.

Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
Blended Learning
This American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course is delivered through a blended learning format, combining self-paced online instruction with a required in-person skills session.
After registration and payment, Vital Institute will email you the official Red Cross online course access link along with instructions to begin your training. Participants complete the online portion at their own pace, covering adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, choking relief, and essential first aid response for common emergencies.
Once the online coursework is successfully completed, participants will schedule and attend an in-person skills session at Vital Institute to demonstrate competency in:
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Proper AED operation and safety
• Relief of choking in responsive and unresponsive victims
• First aid skills including bleeding control and emergency response
The in-person session is hands-on and focused on skill verification according to current American Red Cross guidelines.
Upon successful completion of both components, participants receive a 2-year American Red Cross digital certification.
The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-person skills session.
